I want to love this game, but it is just not fun. Admittedly I am only lvl 17, and I am trying to withhold judgement till I get to level 20. But my first dungeon, I couldn't wait for the experience to end. Do you enjoy killing ladybugs and marmots? Squirrels, maybe? Well, I do not. For some reason Square Enix has us killing rodents and vermin.

The graphics are really great. Beautiful environments.

Combat is floaty. Ability cooldowns are almost all global and very slow.

There is WAY TOO MUCH quest text to click through. Lots of loading screens.

The music is pretty cheesy. It sounds like it was created on an old casio keyboard from the 1980s. I actually heard (synthesized) bagpipes this morning.

This game does not innovate. It has the same mechanics as almost every other MMO. Except instead of fun, this one feels like work. I hope I am wrong about this and the game becomes amazing after a few more levels.


Update: I can't take this game anymore. The combat is just terrible. The game is nice to look at, but not fun to play.
