Does this mean I am in the next group of selected beta testers, but they are narrowing the field, or do they want more?

I did have an FFXI account

What did the newsletter say? I'm going to guess the newsletter said about "verify your account email if you're a legacy holder, because we're mailing out keys to those email addresses."

So, until you get an email with your beta key in it, you're not in it yet. Just sit tight, and maybe check your spam folder every few days or so to see if you got a beta invite yet.

A newsletter about beta applications. I had an FFXI and FFXIV account... I applied in January, but I take it that they are perhaps confirming email address?

It appears they are looking for more players

I'm a legacy member and also received the newsletter. I wouldn't dwell on that too much. Just wait for that official confirmation.

I was in first beta. Played FFXI for years but gave it up a while back. Still have authenticator. Still have XIII code >

Put in my name in the bin and we'll see how it goes. I really want to help them get the best MMO going, but I don't think they listen to English players.

George Lucas had some IPs he didn't feel like developing. He sold them to a company that would. There is a lesson here for Crapcom.

ARR feels a lot like a Western MMO. They're listening to English players more than you think.

He's talking about region, not the wild west with cowboys and saloons.
