Oh look at you Vigrim, pulling the "First World Problems" BS line. You must feel special now.

Not so much special as a realist. I do my part as it is and donate to charities. You could consider me a hero in those regards >

Just realized that 2D kind of sounded like Kefka just then, with all the "Hate, Hate, Hate" stuff.

lol i was actually going for that. i saw a youtube video of some kefka scenes a day ago. i like kefka, but i still think hes really overrated compared to sephiroth

sephiroth, the ultimate emo... but i just loved that he had actual reason and motive for his insanity. kefka was just... there. woke up one day and said "i wanna be bad".

Yeah but one could say that makes Kefka even crazier

But yeah I think him and Seph are the best villains in the series.

^ some people argue that the clown is a better villain because he actually destroys the world. i still think sephiroth was better though. maybe its simple the fact that i grew into RPG with FF7 or simply the difference in the games age and not to mention graphics. seeing the expressions in the characters faces says a lot about them.

The thing that always weighs Kefka in my favor isn't so much "That" he completely destroys and remakes the world. No, not only does he destroy and remake the world, he becomes the god of that world, and tortures everyone for at least a year. He not only destroys the world, but he destroys the will of the population. The world and it's inhabitants are dying a slow, torturous demise, and even the heroes themselves are beaten and demoralized to the point where they've all nearly given up in despair. It's a persistent state of ruin, and at the end of the day it was all caused by a psychotic clown.

...and that doesn't even take into account all the other evil acts he performs throughout the game.

Sephiroth's actions don't really seem to compare from my viewpoint.

Yeah, Kefka is just straight bat-sh** crazy, that is why he's so brilliant.

To me FFVII's main villain is Jenova - freaking Aliens man! ALIENS! Though Sephy is still awesome nontheless. FFVII story is good on so many levels, that game is a fun freaky fantastic mind-trip. Gonna have to replay it again soon, never gets old.

I loved those two villains but none of us can forget

Androgynous Villain Kuja and the Giant Space Flea out of Nowhere xD Though if you read in between the lines Necron is indirectly referenced to.

Finally unlocked the Travel Spell on NNK so now i can full initiate, explore everywere that won't kill me, get a Toko familiar 2% chance, and gather up the ones i didn't get back in the starting area's which is simply the Inphant and Bonehead and Dinoceros, do need to go back to old smokey for another bounty so might finally catch that little Imp

Only reason i didn't catch em all earlier on is because i didn't want to overlevel and make the game an extreme cakewalk =/

atm got Oliver using Mighty Mite, Turban Legend and Dragette

Esther using a Strongo, Cutppurrse and Sea Naiad

Swaine using a Burly Hurly, Dumble(monkey thing) and Megalith

    its working out really well

I dont know.... again, maybe its the age of that game but the game did not impact me in any way. Then again chrono triger and sword of mana 3? (The one with the werewolf guy) had a huge impact in me. I would be the first to say graphics dont make a game. But there need to be some degree just to show how people suffered. Also none of the main characters felt "awesome" maybe terra but by mid game her story had like no consequence. Maybe that's why the clown got away with so much.... bunch of sisi heros IMO.

The thing that gets me most about Kefka is that he he had the help of a cosmic keystone. If I could push statues out of alignment and gain infinite power I would do it too. Despite that I still like the character.

So later in the game you'll be able to catch this creature called Dinoceros. He's extremely powerful. So powerful that I stopped using him because he breaks the game. Ear splitter for 220+ on every enemy, and he has insane attack and defense.

So what did you guys think of the Super Bowl? Am I the only one who thought the timing of the power outage was suspicious?

It does appear on the raised flats, in the southern part of the desert, that you have to go round the marsh area to get to, but its quite rare at that point, and its much easier to find it in another part of the game were its more common i believe (not 100% sure)

So Alltra, i know you need to catch em all before moving on, but you may want to save the Dinoceros to when you get to its more "common" area if there is one xD

Least in my experience it barely spawned in that area, I did spot it, but i was too far away to make an attempt at it

Atm my Dragette, Cutppurrse and Strongo are my hardest hitters, Dragette though a slow attacker hits hard, cutppursse hits very fast and the dmg adds up quickly, plus its blind, lower evasion abilities are pretty good, and my Strongo just has an asburd magic attack stat does nearly 180dmg if it hits a weakness

Now this is a pleasant surprise, Ni No Kuni is No.1 in the Top 10 UK Charts for Software Sales, it knocked Fifa 13 off the top position

A JRPG that isn't final fantasy or pokemon. No.1 in the Top 10 of the UK Charts let alone No.1 is practically unheard of for new RPG IP's

Granted its only a weekly chart, and Fifa 13 will mostly likely take the top spot again soon

Saki, that's the beauty of the random encounter system in this game. They show up on screen, so it's just a matter of identifiying where they can show up.

Speaking of which, I went exploring across the bridge in the Rolling Hills very briefly before the Super Bowl last night. It's gonna be rough, but I believe I'll be able to handle myself there with a few tweaks. At the very least I'll be able to snag the items in the Hidden Chest, the sparkles, and that one Grove.

Super Bowl was awesome by the way. My Ravens won it, and I'm proud of em. It looked dicey there for awhile, but they managed to pull it off.

Chrono Trigger and Cross are indeed awesome. Secret of Mana is too, which is Seiken Densetsu 2. Same with Seiken Densetsu 3 which is where Kevin the wolf guy is from - this is all the mana series, they changed all the names in good ol' 'MURICA. They are great games, especially co-op! My friend and ran through SoM over ZSNES last year, gonna run through SD3 sometime this year.

Well, Ni No Kuni is on indefinite hold for me. Manged to snag a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening at Target. I took the day off for this game, and most of stores in my area didn't actually have the game even though it should've been out everywhere today. In any case, a wasted day of leave managed to end well and it feels like an early birthday.

I like Strongo. And Phantasma isn't a bad caster either. The thing is the character who gets a bonus towards that type doesn't have much in the way of MP. Is there anyway to restore MP besides stones, inns, glims, and items?

I really like Puss in Boots and I like the Hooray's as well.

The Tin-Men make pretty good tanks. I might need a replacement for that Lemur though. He's lacking right now.

I prefer the Monolith as a tank over the tin-men, but its just preference over do you want a melee or magic based tank but considering Swaine's disposition, Tin-Men is probably better in the long run, but by level 15 in its 2nd form (Megalith) it had more or less 300 defence, the lemur is actually rather good, it gets better once its levelled the 1st time it gets some absurd evasion and since the beastiae's favourite treat is ice cream, its all the better

I heard that the Monolith's had higher defense but since the Tin-Men takes very little damage from physical attacks anyway, I figured I'd go for looks over effectiveness. I'll stick with the Lemur awhile longer and see how it ends up.

I've cleared most of the content in NNK, and haven't used a 'tank.' Just raw dmg cleans the floor in this game. I'm used to it though as I play most single player RPGs like this. Tanks could be effective as far as I know, but with ATT and M.ATT threw the roof, battles end in a couple seconds.

Have realize 2 things about ni no kuni. Fist the AI is dumb. So to save mp u simply have at "don't use abilities" . Only in boss battles u should have oliver (big mp pool) on "keep us healthty". Carefull when using all, I think the AI forgets about healing while doing that. It's better to set the AI to do as u like when mp is not an issue later on.

I think key said he is avoiding using the dinosaur pet. But I am doing the same thing. I have 2 bone baron that finally have good stats doing a ton of dmg and not receiving as much dmg thanks to the swords with leach effect. (Forgot the name) also the green bunchers a very good. That random spin attack is op.
