I like turn based but I think.... wait I have to protect my caterpillar from Kimbo Slice... *protects* anyway... I think they should reconstruct it. which it looks like they did here. I do like that they kind of combined all the ff games. summon partnering... ff6. my favorite btw. I liked 12's system but gambits just made it so you walked through the game and did nothing. I literally designed my game so it could play itself. I just walked through it. but yea cloud 121 it wasn't exactly ai verse ai, it was just designed to do what you would do, but you wouldn't have to do it. verse the ai.... so its like an advanced ai I guess.... o noes. Kimbo Slice got my Caterpillar :(

I think turn based should be a thing of the past. FF 11 and 12 had good ideas but you should be in control of your characters attacks. Not just letting the AI do it. And who cares if the main character is a girl. Whats with Afro Thunder doing in FF 13? Did he retire from boxing?

looks very promising i liked 12s ideas but i didnt like the gambit system because it defeated the purpose because itd be A.I vs A.I but i liked the gameplay and video. i havent beat it to this day because its just way to long in my opionion. but 12 looks very good i always liked turn based battle style so it looks like a hybrid of turn based and something else.

Man I can't wait. June 2010 is the estimated release date (or so I think I read somewhere). I've been a big fan of the FF series since the begining. I'mma have to check out the XIV info (although XI was my least favorite and this looks somewhat similar to that). It's probably way improved upon what XI attempted though.

No ofense but why is the main character a girl?i don´t have anything against girl characters (in fact i loove chicks!) but since it´s an rpg game i´d rather be a guy. they sould give us the option to pick whatever we want to be,like oblivion.

plz save da hate dude just cuz u had ur poor lil heart broken by FF12 dosent mean u gotta rain on everyones parade. i knew 12 was gunna b a huge letdown as soon as i herd it was set in ivalice and they had replaced all the old summons. as for 13 it looks like a great return to form for the series with cool characters, an interesting plot, and a battle system that looks like tons of fun (as long as u can control the other charaters that is).

Good point. Remember how the videos made Final Fantasy XII look like it would be as good as FFVI, and it ended up being even...oh...wait.

Definitely wish they would go back to controlling all the characters, I am fine with them mixing it up but I felt a little left out of the battles in ff12. also hope that all characters are not the same from a skill standpoint, I don't believe this to be the case but never know. overall presentation of this game looks awesome though. will be interested on how it works out

I like that they experiment with the battle system, but it also makes me worry as sometimes I really don't like it (namely FFX-2 and FFXII). I hope they don't mess this one up, I love Final Fantasy. I think they need to stop trying to make it more action-y to try and appeal to more people and stick with the turn based systems that they're good at and work well with the game.

if this has gambit's like ff12 then i'm not buying it

I would be so sure tht this game would get a 9.0 is if the combat is like FF 7 crisis core and if the story is engaging.tht would gurantee it for me

ohh man this is going to be SUPER!! agree with all you people that like FFs. the control system etc... hopefully theres going to be a demo at least just b4 the game releases so that we get a feel of how its going to be. i mean they have all ready done the demo soo put it on playstation STORE!!! pleeeeaaasee XD

@ Gammet25 Infinate undiscovery was tri-ace, lol... I personally wouldn't say any of their games have failed... just people failing to see why some of their games were good, but thats just personal taste. @ Blue_Guardian I agree it sucks that English speakers have to wait in europe, when we get the same voices and translations that are in the US version... but since the european version has a load more languages they have to translate to, it makes sense for them not to delay the others just for a simultaneous release... and if ya can't wait, just import the US version, lol. totally agree with fizzlybear... each game has been great, they all have their up sides... even though I didn't like what they did with X-2, I still enjoyed some aspects of it... such as the way you could go everywhere from the start and meet everyone, it's a good thing for a sequel. also lotta people hate on FFXII, yet I had a great time playin that... the battle system was sooo addictive and if you switch off the ai, it became quite a challenge controlling everyone yourself... plus the scenary was amazing, pretty much all the way through the game I had to stop and just look around in amazement, lol. anywho... enough ranting... FFXIII looks epic... I like the battle system and the characters seem interesting.

hope it hits europe simultaneously... we've been frakked repeatedly with delayed releases due to localisation.

I think that if your going to make a series of games that each have a different story and each come from a different universe then obviously things are gonna have to change. Look at the changes they made from 7 to 8. its just the way things go. personally I cant wait, i've enjoyed every final fantasy game because each one is so different. lets cut the moaning!

why are they changing the game so much. can't they see all their previous turn based, control all characters, final fantasy games got a 9/10 or higher. if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it! i just want to control all the characters damnit. A.I. is never as good as human control

True COUNT, but that's why we keep the old FF's to play. If everything remained the same, the franchise would be very stagnant and boring. I considered XII a miss in general, but from everything I've seen, I'm confident XIII is going in the right direction. I can't wait for it to come out, especially since there are so few decent RPG's on the PS3.

i want them too keep the summons like in ff1-ff9 were they just attacked those were the good days although this one looks fun

hhmm...you know whats funny...all these guys are complaining about the game being like this or that but when it comes out...you all are going t buy it anyways...so why dont we all just calm down and wait for the release and see what it has stored..

Judging from some of the comments i've read a lot of you want the same thing over and over again for you to complain that it needs improvements. So Lesson of today is don't listen to fans, because they don't know what they want and if you let them design a Final Fantasy or any game it would be a mess.
