I'll make this short & honest. My first impression on FF13, it was pretty. I was hoping for a story as great as the old classics, I was looking forward to pouring tons of hours into gameplay with grinding, exploring, riding those cute Chocobos & mastering the characters. I'd say about two hours into the game, I kept wondering if the story would pick up, when I would be able to do the wonderful things I could at this point like in the old FF classics. I found myself getting bored quickly & telling myself; 'it'll get better.' But no, it stayed generally the same. I just didn't care for the linear gameplay or the chapter system. The characters, aside from Lightning & Hope- those two you see grow & change the most; the others are just almost like 'supporting roles' the classes in battle (like warrior, white mage- I can't exactly remember the correct names), with just a few hours of grinding & leveling, they all learn the same skills. I was told by other fans who have played this game that 'The fun starts on the last two chapters' Why would I look forward to a game that the only fun takes place at the end of the game? It should be throughout. Just within a few hours, you'll be at the last two chapters. Sadly, in some way that is a relief. Atleast the graphics are nice.
