As a long time Final Fantasy fan I was really disappointed in this installment of Final Fantasy simply for the fact that Square Enix focused way too much time on the graphic and just about none on everything else. I mean what good is it to look so good yet be constricted to a straight line for the most part of the game. Yes I know it opens up a bit on chapter 11 with Gran Pulse but the damage has already been done with the narrow paths you went through all previous chapters. That's not the only thing wrong with Final Fantasy XIII the games battle system is very simple even without the auto battle feature you just switch to healer and since there's no mp you can spam heal, controlling one party member while the other two automatically do what there paradigm thing is set for them, the game ends when the party leader is K.O even though the other two are still up stocked with mostly useless Phoenix down, the summons were basically transformers that weren't used, The game dragged on with a lot of unnecessary cut scenes and most of the main characters annoyed me except for Lightning. So basically they messed this game up by making it an even more linear game than X, lack of side quests and giving the game an easy button for a battle system. This isn't a good game I'm certain if this didn't have the Final Fantasy name it would have done terrible in every category.
