Well, this is the first Final Fantasy I was about to play ,,for real''. I didn't expect too much, that's why this game is so good to me.

Storyline: 6/10
So. The main heroes are guys that were ,,purged'- they were sent under planet Cocoon (on this planet, the whole storyline is going). To Gran Pulse, or something (I'll explain why I don't really know where were they sent later). Some of the characters have no real reason to be there- they walked next to l'Cie (guys chosen by fal'Cie- the gods that have created Cocoon. Each l'Cie get a ,,Focus''- a mission that they have to complete, otherwise they'll become monsters. If they succeed, they are being turned into crystal). But one of them isn't there because of reason like that.

Okay, the plot is great overall, but to know more about what are l'Cie or fal'Cie , you'll have to read a whole in-game encyclopedia. The plot is really complicated overall.

Controls: 10/10
Controls are set in a way that you'll never say: ,,AAAH, WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME SQUARE ENIX, B BUTTON WOULD BE GOOD FOR THAT ACTION !''. And that's really important during battles. I never had a problem with them when I was fighting a really big boss.

Graphics: 8/10
Graphics during gameplay is stunning, but during the cutscenes you can see how much Square Enix needed to compress cutscenes so they could fit on a DVD.

Sounds&music: 810
Sounds are great, but you can't really hear outstanding music when walking or something.


Environment: 8/10
C'mon, Final Fantasy never had an open world (besides XII....) ! Get over with it. And Gran Pulse rules.


AI: ?/10
I can't really rate the AI level, 'cos monsters strenght lays in their powerful attacks and big amount of HP.

Battles: 10/10
They're beautiful and fast: just like in Bayonetta.
...But hard !

Overall: 9/10
Buy it, but don't expect too much when doing it.
