Since '07 I have been extremely hyped for the latest installment of Final Fantasy, 3 years later it comes out without any disappointment to be seen. This game threw every one of my gripes with the series out the window, like long, tedious hours of leveling up, and pointless mini games.
Remember the frustrating hassle of being extremely low on health, praying for a save point, only for an enemy to randomly attack you? Not anymore! FF XIII goes all out, no frills, into what fans expect from the series and more. The combat is incredibly fast paced and the paradigm system adds a lot more strategy, especially in boss fights and tougher enemies
Along with a fun, renovated combat system. Flashy, impressive visuals and a compelling story take immersion to a whole new level. It is debatable whether one will prefer Final Fantasy's way of telling a story to the previous installments. But FF XIII offers a story that will touch you with a story that involves complex characters who's lives were ruined by the Fal'cie. The first part of the game is a bit slow with the story picking up and immense character developing, but it is a small gripe compared to the game as a whole.
All in all i highly recommend the latest outing by Square Enix. It is truely worth every penny you paid for it

The Last Battle in Final Fantasy VII. Cloud vs Sephiroth. It's not technically a real battle but more of an epilogue for the Ending.Posted Feb 19, 2007
