Alright my Final Fantasy XIII Review.
Before i begin i must say this Final Fantasy its just Sick, its amazing, outstanding, awesome... there is not words to put how good i my self find this game. (I am saying that cuz its true and cuz i ma Huge RPG fun)
Ok so lets start. (The Story)
Its really interesting and kind of complicated. In the main FFXIII game, the world is split into two parts: Cocoon and Pulse. Cocoon is a space colony that houses a few million people. Pulse is everything outside of it.
Mankind was blessed by its protectors, the benevolent fal'Cie and believed that tranquil days would continue forever. Their tranquility was shattered with the discovery of one hostile fal'Cie.
The moment that fal'Cie from Pulse the feared and detested lower world awoke from its slumber, peace on Cocoon came to an end.
Fal'Cie curse humans, turning them into magic wielding servants. They become l'Cie chosen of the fal'Cie.
Those branded with the mark of a l'Cie carry the burden of either fulfilling their Focus or facing a fate harsher than death itself.
The main point of game, its that you try to prevent Cocoon from destruction.
You start the game us a young women names Lightning, who embark the train to save her sister who become l'Cie.
And from there its starts the story of Final Fantasy XIII.
(The Gameplay)
Its really fun. You have your ATB gauge like in FF7 or 9, when the gauge fill up you execute you move, all tho unlike other FF games, in FFXIII u can execute 3 moves. At the beginig of the game you have only 3 ATB gauges, so u can execute three moves, some skills can take all 3 gauges to make one powerful move and some take only one gauge to make menny moves, later in the game you expend your ATB gauge so u can execute even more moves.
Through the progress of the game u can upgrade you character stats, learn new skills, spells and ect... . Character lvling happends through Crystarium System which superficially seems similar to Final Fantasy X Sphere Grid. But instead of a single chain of stat and ability upgrades, characters in FFXIII upgrade according to their role in combat.
Selecting and switching roles during a battle can change a character's style and available skills, allowing for some degree of specialization as characters move around their Power Line upgrades. All of this is done by spending Crystal Points acquired in battle. In a good move designed to minimize grinding and manage difficulty, the characters all have Crystarium Levels" that act as level caps, only raised once past certain points in the story.
During the battle you can also change your Paradigm Shift, witch is switch your Role. Each roles has there own kills and abilities.
Exp: Role Commando uses for Physical Damage
Role Ravager uses for Magical Damage
And so there is allot more roles to learn as u progress through the story. You can also upgrade your Weapons and Accessories, buy collection loots from the monsters or buy them in the shop.
(The Soundtrack)
Its really amazing and beautiful, its well made for the game.
Each area has amazing soundtrack witch you would like to listen over and over. Square Enix did a great job on Soundtracks. I allways love FF soudtracks, and this one really fit in my list.
(And The Graphics)
They are just Outstanding, for an RPG game they are just to good. There is alot of areas that looks simply amazing, but some areas can even be breathtaking.
Every texture details, character details world environment they are all simply Amazing. The game its highly detailed, its extremely rare to see an RPG game with this high lvl of graphics. Square Enix really put effort in the Graphics.
Well what more can i say all i can say is this game its just SICK!
It has Awesome Story that really gonna suck youn in.
Awesome and fun Gameplay that gonna keep you in you toes.
Amazing Graphics that rarely seen in RPG's games.
And Awesome Soundtrack that u will never forget.
Some ppl might find FFXIII disappointing because there is no towns and they might find it linear, and they might fin some other stuff that i didn't find, beside how can u have towns in the middle of war, make no sense.
But for me when i get my self in the game, i didn't even think about linearity and towns and some other things.
Cuz its was so amazing, the atmosphere, Graphics, Gameplay, Cutscenes and Everything als. All that make you forget about (some) EXTREMELY small things that this game miss.
And btw FFX, Crisis Core, Eternal Sonata and some other games that i know, they are all Linear. (just to prove my point)
And i know lots of ppl who really like thos games.
Anyway all i can say to you, if you like JRPG or you looking for FFX mix with Crisis Core, don't miss this game, it might not be like other FF games, BUT its Extremely fun and Awesome in its own way. And its sells like HELL from what i heard and read.
So if you are lucky to find it get it right away, don't even hesitate.
Well my Final score
Graphics: 9.5
Replay Value: 9.0
Game-play: 9.5
Sound: 9.5
Story: 9.0
Overall Score 9.5/10
