Yeah... another Final Fantasy game... I've played it all... no I'm lying. Did not played Final 6. As a lot of people who played this game or is playing , i'm pretty sure they are not impressed with that game. But still, let's give it a try.
Graphically, this is one of the most beautiful game I've seen so far on the Xbox 360. There is no questions about the graphics, they are gorgeous.
The story, well, it is another Final story, so it is pretty good.
Gameplay so linear... yes it is. If you manage to not fall asleep for the first 25 hours or so of the game, and you manage to get to Gran Pulse, you will feel at home there. Less linear, more exploration, bosses to fight as you will, being able to upgrade all the characters and weapons, etc. I personnaly think that this is where the game starts to be a FF game.
Combat are impressive and really well made. I love that new style. It take some time to get used to it but when you understand the strategy, it is far from being one of the greatest battle system ever made.
I give it a 8/10 because the linear part of the game takes just too much time to get somewhere. A lot of people won't even make it to Gran Pulse, and I totally understand them. Maybe it is because we are getting used to Fallout and Oblivion type of open worlds that we feel claustrophobic right now...
Still a game that I will not regret putting some patience in it

The Last Battle in Final Fantasy VII. Cloud vs Sephiroth. It's not technically a real battle but more of an epilogue for the Ending.Posted Feb 19, 2007
