    I know I can come back post-game but let's say I needed to kill him in Ch. 11, is there any chance to do so? I've been trying to abuse R:IC but even if I get it at least one person is dead and I don't think I can do 1 million damage between 2 people before he kills another.

    Daze can buy you time at the start of the fight to get Haste, Enfire, and Bravery/Faith on your attackers. A good SEN can survive 10,000 Needles. If you get your base attack stats above 1,000 (easily doable with some upgrading), two fully buffed Commandos should be able to kill Gigantuar in less than 2 rounds after R:IC goes off.

    I believe it's also possible to use single Attacks or Ruins to dance Sazh out of range of 10,000 Needles, allowing him to solo the kill.

    The problem with Daze is that he always gets 10k Needles off at least once before Daze even hits. I suppose I could heal up after he's dazed but it is rather annoying.

    I'm guessing the set up should be something like this?

    Snow/Fang/Sazh

    Sen/Sab/Syn
    Sen/Med/Syn (Heal up and prevent Fang from touching Gigantaur)
    Sen/Com/Com

    Start out and hope to daze. Once dazed switch and continue buffing everyone. Once fully buffed, go on the offensive and hope for R:IC. If no R:IC reset and try again?

    You said that a good Sen can survive 10k Needles. How is that? Just stack HP? Steelguard?

    I suspect you'll need an actual healer (i.e. Hope or Vanille with Curasa) in there, so you may have to give up Haste unless you use Sprint Shoes, Fortisol, or develop Fang's SYN role all the way. Alternately, you might be able to rely on Renew to heal the damage taken early in the fight.

    10,000 Needles ignores damage reduction from buffs and accessories, but the reduction from the Sentinel role will apply. A level 4 Sentinel takes only 56% damage. That drops to 46% with Entrench, 36% with Steelguard or Mediguard, 28% with SG/MG and Improved Ward from Snow's Paladin, and 20% with Improved Ward II from the Winged Saint (transformed Paladin). Given a base of 10,000 damage, those percentages are very easy to calculate; best case scenario, Snow can reduce the damage all the way down to 2000, allowing him to survive multiple hits (although you'll need to be ready to cure Pain, since that will prevent him from using -guard abilities).

    Mediguard is almost certainly superior to Steelguard here; Steelguard's damage reduction improves with every hit taken, making it excellent against hordes of enemies or against attacks that consist of multiple damage instances. Neither of those applies here, so the healing from Mediguard is a superior benefit.

    But if I run with Fang/Snow/Vanille or Hope I only have one real com to fight with since Snow is taking hits. That won't be enough to kill him right? Also I should be controlling Snow right?

    Yes! I got it. Went with:

    Snow/Fang/Vanille in SEN/COM/MED formation.

    Fang did all the damage while Snow soaked up the hits and Vanille healed. Too several retries but it worked. 3:00 target time too which I thought was going to be a lot less.
