Playable Demo - Final Fantasy XIII-2 Gameplay Trailer

I am pretty hopeful about this game. I think it seems to have the feel of a new game with old characters unlike X-2. Looks to have a lot more to do along the lines of FFVII

It does like there are some improvements there, i will play the demo later and see what its like. Though I still haven't finished 13 yet...its a good game, i should continue it sometime.

@washnwax The only enemy you have to stagger is the boss.Which makes sense when you consider it's about 60 feet tall. ;)

i really do hope they improved this game over the last one,13 was no doubt a beautiful game but there were a few things they could have improved on. the one thing i hated the most was having to constantly stagger enemies to do a decent amount of damage to them and i see that they have brought that back in 13-2,will still be buying the game anyway.

@louie0922 wow really? you hated it that bad? I absolutely loved XIII. Because it was so linear I got to enjoy the story (which is why I play RPGs) I haven't been that engrossed in an rpg since final fantasy IX lol

@louie0922 then if you don't like the game do you post or even care about that another game of this series is coming?

I don't understand why they are making another version of that $hitty game. You can tell from some of the shots that its another linear game. I bought XIII and smashed the disk about half way through. Square Enix seems to have forgotten what made this series so great. What a shame.

@MrCrazyAsianBoy I know you eastern asia can have XIII_2 at the moment(lucky you) but you know playing as serah isn't that much good lightning is better (as she is not really very sompatico with the others) but she knows how to take care of herself but serah is weak goes from the portagionists and characters gameplay is weak either

Firstly, I've never played the first Final Fantasy XIII, although I've wanted to. Secondly, what the hell is that big thing? Thirdly, I don't like puzzles and that part with the transparent redish-pinkish cubes looked like a puzzle. I went through enough puzzles with Final Fantasy XII. But I still have to play it...after I play the first one.

@chaos-thundage you can't just say that this is worst than the first just because of the trailer. you need to actually play the game before you start criticizing it

the main XIII was much more better than this one (this is great but XIII was also better)

@mdchapel9 So did the former FF XIII title, by the reviewers, but that doesn't change the fact the the general public HATED Square Enix for their work. They are wasting our time with a series that needs a COMPLETE REBOOT, or simply burry this series, and move on to something new. What was good enough 15-20 years ago is not good enough anymore.

Just read a review on this game, they got an 8 out of 10

Square Enix needs to improve on their combat system. although, you can't say the same of its graphics and story :D

Simply Awesome!!! Can't wait till the 3rd. Have Pre-Ordered my Limited Edition, sadly couldn't get the Crystal Edition!

If the demo is any indication, they very purposefully went out of their way to fix every problem that people had with XIII.It took 4 hours to beat the whole thing, concluding with a giant boss fight, and it was simply fantastic all the way through.

ffx is the best and after that they stop making good game and this game look like shiiiiiitttttttttttttt

right after my gold membership ended the demos available i was thinking about upgrading just for the demo

I played through some last night. It's been awhile since I went through XIII, and ive actually been playing V and VI lol. graphically awesome, and the gameplay seemed very fast paced. Leveling up monsters that fight with you is an interesting addition. I look forward to many hours of FF goodness

Just finished downloading it, looking forward to test it when I get home tonight
