One of the best Final Fantasy game ever made. In my opinion.

I have played most of the Final Fantasy games including the ones on the earlier Game Boy systems, and with the exception of Final Fantasy 7, this is one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. Now, remember that these are my opinions, so take them or leave 'em. I'm going to start with game play. I found the controls to be easy to use, in all aspects of the game. The menus were easy to manage, especially if you have the game set to pause when the menu is open. The gambit system made battles a lot easier to deal with, allowing you to fight without having to go anywhere near the attack menus. The camera in this game was easy to control and never hindered game play. I found the battle mechanics to be similar to that of the Knights of the Old Republic for the X-box. The mist techniques where easy to pull off, and forming chains isn't to difficult, though my highest is 14. The next thing to talk about is Graphics. I was very impressed with the graphics of this game. It went to show that the PS2 still has some life left in it. All the cut scenes were entertaining and well made. The spells looked amazing, as well as the mist techs and the Espers. Wandering around the world looked clean and I thought the weather effects were excellent. Next is sound. One word, excellent. The sound effects fit perfectly with the visual effects, fire sounding like fire should and so on. The music was great and not repetitive at all. This was one of the few games where I wasn't inclined to turn the sound of off. In closing I wish to remind you that these are my opinions, and that I encourage you to try this game for yourselves and make your own opinion.
