The definition of a true Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy XI: Vana'diel Collection 2008 PC
Final Fantasy XI has been out for quite some time now... and it hasn't received the most subscribers like World of Warcraft has, mainly because most things in the game are required for partying. It can be a pain to look for a party for hours and hours, finally get one, then it lasts an hour or less. I've been playing Final Fantasy XI since the Playstation 2 release on March 24, 2004 on and off though. It contains the definition of a true MMORPG by the way you go about leveling up and doing group quests, missions, getting gear, and just about everything. I think the game is really fun, but not for everyone. I think the hardcore audience would love it, because of it's party-based taste. I would like it if they made more of it soloable... but maybe add 5 fellows instead of 1 to your signal pearl collection so you don't have to look for a group but get a penalty on experience points gained.

I just recently came back because I seek level 75 on my White Mage (currently 69 with 20k tnl, lol). I just want this game to eat up the time left until the new Square-Enix MMORPG releases hopefully by next year sometime. Maybe Square-Enix will change their whole view on the whole party thing. OR they may add NPCs to your collection to fight with you, so you won't have to seek for a party so much. I give this game a 9.5 because I have ♥ for this game like no other. I'm playing World of Warcraft at the moment as well.

You can call me a hater of it, but I think Final Fantasy XI is more fun than World of Warcraft.

I get bored easily with WoW because this is all I do: Quest > Level > QUEST QUEST QUEST > LEVEL LEVEL> QUEST QUEST QUEST > DING >

LVL70-80 takes ten million years and a whole lot of quests and it's really boring.

I'd rather stick to Final Fantasy XI. See ya later everyone and that's my review!
