mobile intel(r) 4 series express chipset family
I know the rest of my specs are fine, just not sure about this.
Just finished FF7 yesterday (first time, first FF). It was AWESOME!!!! I was looking around at which one to play next, and stumbled upon this. For 10 bucks, it sounds great, but the subscription fee (13$ a month) is a bit high..... I wanna know if my PC will run it before I think too much about it.

It ran on the graphics processor of the Atom netbooks before those went away. It should run on any current Intel processor's graphics system, since it's integrated into the CPU now. An AMD processor would give you a better basic graphics system without having to look for dedicated graphics processing and memory, as they build Radeon GPU cores into their CPUs now.
Remember, FFXI for PC was released in late-2002 in Japan. The game turns 11 this year. Even crappy Intel graphics chipsets have the support at this time, as long as they are current. Intel's about 3 years behind in graphics features on their chips. If you have a desktop, just about any AMD or nVidia graphics card can outdo them.

The question is not the processing power of the Intel graphics chips, they have more than enough. The question would be does its drivers handle the game well, poorly, or not at all.
And I haven't the answer.

Ignore the system requirements, they're almost always wrong or don't include everything. For instance, The Secret World reccomends you run a GTX 560 but I've got a 460 and it runs perfectly.
And back in the day(03-06) when I first played FFXI, I had a Radeon 8500(with TV card built in), but it said it needed a 9500. So I borrowed a GeForce from a buddy and ran it for a week or so before I missed my TV and capturing capabilities and switched the cards back out. Then on a lark, I ran FFXI...and it ran perfectly. Never had a single problem with that 'unsupported' card.

My work laptop has an Intel 3000 and an NVIDIA 4-series. On a whim I tried the Intel card. Yours should work. Mine was a little slow because it had to push 1080p. If you're running at a lower resolution, or maybe even 1920x1080 (your 4-series is more powerful), I'll guess that it'll work fine.
