SE complains for seeing drops in sales in games. If they redid this game, they wouldnt have to change it much. Update the graphics and music. Imagine seeing Knights Of The Round, and the weapons with PS3 graphics! Speaking of music, has anyone heard Bulb from Periphery's rendition of the Prelude Fanfare? COMPLETELY made me want to play the game again from just hearing it. Took the Prelude, and the intro to the game, plus where you just off the train and made it metal! SOOO GOOOD! He has also redone Jenova's Theme and its awesome! They could charge $100 for the game, and I guarantee they would have a problem keeping the game in stock in the stores. BEST GAME EVER!

Um guys this isn't the ending from Crisis Core I remember explicitly that at the end it just showed Cloud jumping on the train and looking up. This one has him actually getting off the train. And oh yeah one more thing: It's not in CGI

Sadly, I don't think this will be remade. If it does get remade I would give up my 360 for just a copy of this. However RPG's are slowly slipping into the MMO world and they just haven't been the same since PSone. It's kind of sad really because this was the game that ruined my childhood outdoor experiences lol. But yeah, if they put half as much effort into this instead of the horrible fail that we called Final Fantasy 14, it would become an instant win for Square Enix.

This is just a demo of what "could" happen if they remade the game for PS3. However, for those that doubt it will ever happen, FFVII is part of a series of games and side projects dedicated to "expanding the media" labeled Final Fantasy VII Compilation. This project is a dedicated 20 year project that will see (and has seen already) multiple side games and additional stories produced in the FFVII universe and "end on the 20th anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy VII". That date is still a good ways away and something tells me, that Square Enix is not going to pass a chance to rake in a considerable amount of cash, and they will probably release a "current gen" version of FFVII as the final release in this series.

Guys ,... relax , its not even a tech demo its just the same exact ending video of Crisis Core . For everyone that's actually play CC should know this.They just copy pasted it and called it a tech demo for ps3.

Odds are it'll get remade. However, I must wonder how soon? They remade the 1st 4 now. Next we'll most likely see 3D FF5, then the one that could come close to getting as much hype as this, a 3D FFVI, specially if they did that one on consoles, and finally this would probably come out. However it also makes me wonder, since they haven't done any of the remakes in awhile, I have to wonder if this would get remade with PS3, or another system in the future? All I know is FFVI, Chrono Trigger, & FFVII all desparately need remakes considering all three are in the leagues of the greatest game of all time and they are THE RPGs every other RPG wishes they could have the fanbases of.

SE will probably remake FFVII.. I mean C'mon why would they choose FFVII for their Tech demo to show how powerfull is the PS3? They could have choses something like FF8, FF9 or something else but they didn't they chose FF7 because its one of the greatest game in history.. Bottom line is SE probably wanted to see how fans of the game would react if they showed a tech demo of FF7 for the PS3 to be worth for a remake and make big $$$ off of it again....WELL IT WORK SE SO REMAKE FINAL FANTASY VII ALREADY AND STOPPP DISAPPOINTING US BY SAYING ITS JUST A TECH A DEMO!!

Too bad it's just a tech demo. I'd gladly buy this game for PS3, even with no changes to anything but the graphics. It was (and still is) an incredible game and seeing it in high definition would be outstanding. I'm sure we'll get a remake someday. The fact that Square has put so much into Advent Children and spinoffs to FF7 proves that they realize the magnetism this title has. Add to that the fact that they have already revisited some other older titles and it's only obvious that something like this will hit the shelves someday. All in good time.

Knowin' Square Enix if they remade FFVII they'd probably screw it up and make it horrible, but even then I'd buy it.

If you are a die hard fan and you want a great JRPG in the FF series you'll know why.

@Young_Charter They know exactly what they are doing as they have different teams working on all of these games at the same time. And in all likelyhood they have already "made" Versus, but they are essentially fine tuning it. I dont see how you can complain about more final fantasy games...

They didn't even make Versus XIII yet... It seems like they don't even know what to do no more..

If this game ever did get made it would make a lot of people very happy and perhaps absolve Square of their sins for the slightly shoddy games they've been putting out lately. I for one would willingly and lovingly pour 100+ hours into this game for the umpteenth time. If Square weren't so vehement in their denial of this game being made I might actually believe them!

Honestly, there would be a huge profit for them if they remade this game.

I'm playing FF7 for the first time and I'm already hooked. I can say that this looks awesome compared to the original.

Still think it may happen eventually...But starting to lose hope gradually... but this is Square Enix, they re-release games to death, so it's gotta happen eventually.. They can't possibly not realize what a cash cow it would be...
