In my opinion this game has one of the best storylines in gaming history. You play as a rebelious mercenary called Cloud Strife. Cloud seems to be the only person who doesn't care about the planets' life energy being sucked away by the Shinra Inc company. Shinra is the Wayne Enterprises of the game. After being hired for a quick bombing job of one of the Shinra power plants by a group called avalanche. However Clouds' views change as an old friend and now enemy makes a shocking return.

The game itself has standard Playstation graphics but because of the amazing battles you must face and the incredible storyline. The great battle system still remains in this classic. But there is a twist in this game. There is a new magic system.

The new magic system is one to remember. It is the excellent Materia system. The materia system let's any of your characters weild any type of magic. However it is not as easy as it seems. You must find what magic suits each character. So it would be bad to have a combat fighter with healing magic. It would be good to have a designated healer.

Also the great variety of enemies and different battle scenes are just awesome. Another great feature is amount of places you can go in the game, and if you really can't beat an enemy or boss you can take a break and travel to a great casino and theme park. However gamers will be shocked that this theme park has a big part of one of the main characters storylines.
