This is a game that was amazing in it's time and revolutionary back then. It had great CG scenes and was a huge influence to bring forth an RPG renaissance. With all that said it lacks depth distinguished heroes are not here. The Materia creates a way of making everyone virtually the same and lacks variety. The plot is something that does stand up. The presentation is something that screems "look at me" and it was a great thing in it's time and now that all of this is out dated it comes of as just slow moving and annoying. The mini games and game play in general is still enjoyable, it's still very worth while but not anything that can really hold up against much of what is around today. This game made a huge mark and it made a huge influence in it's time but all of those are being thrown away now and while the game itself is not forgotten but the actual quality level seems to be forgotten. The blocky character models in 7 standing next to 8 or 9 just looks bad.
