Medieval English oh so sweet!

I got this game because I was interested in the storyline and the fact that the time-line is based in Medieval times. The instruction booklet seemed too thick, so I just popped in the game and did the tutorial. I'd have to say the tutorial is longer than the booklet @_@. I was bummed after that because I thought it would be hard.

However, when fully immersed in the spectacular story, it was hard to put down. After about 45 minutes or so, the learning curve got better and I was able to enjoy the battles a little bit more. At first, the game had to grow on me. I was trying to avoid turn-based fighting and did not know this WAS a turn-based battled. The countless "jobs" that the characters can obtain in the game counter-attacked the boring turn-based fighting. It's not repetitive in the actual battles, but maybe repetitive leveling up. But isn't every RPG game like that? There has to be some serious training in order to defeat hardcore bosses.

The graphics are beautiful as expected from a Final Fantasy line especially the cut scenes. The battle arenas all always different. It will only repeat if you're back-tracking to the same location.

The only thing I don't care for about the game would be in the battles. When an allied solider dies (if knocked out , there's a count above the body before time runs out to revive them) in the battle before there's a chance to revive them, they disappear from your group forever. You would have to buy another solider to replace the one you lost and would have to take the time out to "train" them again to where the last left off.
