Could very well be the best Strategy/RPG ever made.

It's already been 10 years since Tactics arrived on PS1, but somehow it was made even better here. Final Fantasy Tactics starts you off in the dark, but if you figure out how to play the game, it can make for very immersive fun. There's plenty of job classes to choose from, including 2 new jobs for this PSP version, as well as extra quests and an addicting but difficult multiplayer mode. Personally, I think the new additions to Tactics, and the taking out of certain aspects let this version soar above the PlayStation 1 version.

Probably the best story that Square has concieved oustide of their main Final Fantasy series. You play a young noble who beomes a knight to fight under his family name to end the war between the two "Lions", Dukes Larg and Goltana, but when there's more going on behind the scenes, Ramza, the game's main character, decideds to put a stop to the evil that is being brought about. The shocking ending brings everything together and the story gets better with time, making you want to get to the end.

It's been slowed down and there's a bit of lag, which make it worse than the PS1 version, but it's still amazing. A good part about the new gameplay are the new side-quests you can unlock, and the new multiplayer. These add more to love about the game. There's also a couple new classes and tons of new weapons, so anyone who loved the original and has a PSP, you've got a lot of new content to look forward to.

While for the PSP, the graphics could go through much improvement, the graphics are polished in comparison to the PS1 version. In addition, the widescreen format allows you to see more of what's going on. The effects look cleaned up, too, and overall everything is presented better, and cleaner.

Overall, it may be slower than it's PS1 counterpart, but it still stands up strong today. With all the new content, as well, there's even some there for those who have played before. Since the game builds up as you go, don't expect to pull off awesome tricks in the beginning.
