Lengthy and Addictive

User Rating: 8.5 | Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Fuuketsu no Grimoire DS
Gameplay: 9/10
Addictive and bright gameplay stays fresh untill the end of the game. Grid-based tactical brawling is engaging and fun, as in all turn-based RPGs.

Graphics: 9/10
I've heard people liken it to a GBA game. Quite honestly, the GBA could never have produced such vibrant and lush colors as are in this game. The character and equipment portraits are crisp.

Sound: 8/10
(FX, 9/10. Music, 6/10)
The sound effects are great overall, although a few are less than tolerable. The sounds of a Blizaga or a gunshot give a certain satisfaction.
The music, however, is much less than perfect. Most of the tunes are ultimately forgettable. Occasionally, they are even annoying. Although a few of the tracks sound good, there are not many that grasp your attention.

Misc.: 8/10
(Depth, 10/10. Replay Value: 5/10. Balance of Diffuculty: 9/10)
The depth of this game is enormous. 30 different jobs, a solid equipment-ability system and 300 missions means preparing for a battle sometimes takes as long as the battle itself.
The replay value of FFA2 isn't the best. After finishing the story and rounding out the mission list, the drive to start over and develop a new or even a gimick team will only appeal to hardcore fans.
The diffuculty is at a perfect balance. Failing missions sucks, but they are always there to be tried at again. None of the missions are ridiculously hard, and none are ridiculously easy.

Overall, this game is a good buy. I bought it because I love turn-based RPGs, and if you share my feelings, this is a very deep and addictive game.
Cheers.
