It's great story progression and Gameplay is tamped by it's tedious Leveling system.

Even about 20 years later Final Fantasy II or I guess IV still is a joy to play.

I'd find it impossible to not recommend Final Fantasy IV to anyone remotely interested in either Adventure or RPG games.
