I know this is moddable, but does there exist a rom hack of the NES version that has auto-targeting? You know, that feature in most FF games where if a monster you targeted is already dead, your character attacks the next one? I know FF3 on the NES had that, so I'm sure it could be done. Has it?
The NES version is my favorite, but I find myself playing the GBA one more often because of this. Battles go so much faster when you don't have to plan every attack.

It's very likely that a dynamic battle patch could be made for this game. There's one for FF1. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/522595-final-fantasy/59962851

The guy who made the patch disappeared...
I have gotten it to work, but I want to be able to contact the author before I share.
So that's the deal.

Maybe it is unreasonable. It's just that it's kind of sad that he made such a cool patch, and then disappeared.
