Yet another remake of an older Final Fantasy game.

User Rating: 7.5 | Final Fantasy II PSP
There have been several remakes of the first two Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy II first came out for the Super Famicom, but it wasn't released to English audiance until Final Fantasy Origins came out for the PSX. It has four main playable characters named Firion, Maria, Guy, and Leon, Maria's brother. There are a few minor playable characters that join your group off and on. Firion and his friends help out the Wild Rose resistance and Hilda, the princess of Fynn and leader of the resistance, to defeat the Emporer of Palamecia whose bent on world domination. This game introduces many famous Final Fantasy staples like chocobos and Cid. There are several references about this game in other Final Fantasy games like the Esper, Mateus, from FFXII which is named after the Emporer. Several of the minor playble characters will die, but they can be playble again in the bonus dungeon called Soul of Rebirth. The graphics for FF2 definitely got a nice touch-up. The leveling system is kinda awkward because you're leveling up your characters' magic & weapons based on how much you use them in battle. The high random battle rate can be very annoying. This game can be fun for those who hadn't played the game before or never played a Final Fantasy game before. There are too many remakes of this game and the first Final Fantasy game.
