Square Enix producer Akitoshi Kawazu demos Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Wii on the TGS 2009 show floor.
The game looks really good, but by ten hours i seriously hope they just mean the main storyline. I want 100 hours woth of sidequests! This is Final Fantasy for heavens sake!
There better be alot of secrets... still 10 hours. That is like one shift at work
What's all this "first run=10 hours" so I'll pass nonsense? Uncharted 2 takes 10 hours - guess you're going to pass that crappy game as well?
Thi video is disturbing. I mean mainly the female translator. Can't they use a male instead? :(
10 hours does suck, I will probably be passing this one up unless it makes its way to the clearance bin....however about the voice...remember a girl does the voice of Bart Simpson^^....Go figure.
To everyone complaining about the length of the game, remember that it's an action RPG not a turn based RPG. Turn based RPS are longer because you have to spent 10 hours leveling just to reach the next part of the story. Do you really think that is hard for a developer to do? "Lets see. Once the character reaches this area, he can go straight to the boss. How about we simply increase the level and power of the boss so they have to mull around fighting the same enemies over and over until they are strong enough. Gameplay time is always good! Monotony FTW!"
the game don't look that bad better have lots of replay value
they should of just delayed it so they could work on it more
10 hrs, 10 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, what the hell is that, its a FINAL FANTASY GAME!, what the hell kind of rpg is 10 hours long ( or short in this matter), one of the reasons people buy rpg games cause your actually getting your moneys worth when other games you can beat in a day, i have a wii and im a huge FF and rpg fan and i was looking forward in buying this game.........untill now, the wii though i love it to hell disappointed me once again, im just going to wait for no more heroes 2 and red steel 2 to come out and just hope the new metroid doesnt kick us in the nuts like this game did.
It's funny because he speaks and a girls voice comes out. The game doesn't look particularly exciting. The combat seems to be pretty much the same. No spells or weapons that I can see.. I spent a good 50-60 hours on Zelda if I remember correctly, so 'over 10 hours' doesn't seem very enticing.
Hmm first run = 10 hours. I dunno call me spoiled these days but when I put down $50+ dollars for a game I expect to get more than 10 hours out of my investment. I say this because I can spend 50 on a TV series on DvD or blue ray and depending on the show I can get 13-25 eppisodes/hours worth of entertainment. Also MMOs offer unlimited ammounts of gameplay for 50 (and a monthly fee). I suppose my next example in the realm of RPGs would be like Mass Effect, Fable, or even SEs own FF series all have over 20 hours of gameplay. So I'm disapointed that FFCC on Wii is going to be so skimpy on gameplay... Zelda on Wii has a ton of gameplay on it so I don't see why crystal cornicles can't have the same ammount of depth and length.
yea looks good but once again SE is drifting away from the roots of the original FF games. looks like a wanna be zelda. cmon SE i expected it to be like the other crystal chronicles :( anyways looks like a good adventure game though, but not very final fantasyish to me
Im going to add it to my wish list, now.
Why...did they find a girl to translate his speech when his so obviously a male?
agree with twztid13
Lol,the girl voice LOL
Cool, but funny how gamespot translate the dude in english, so does he speak like a girl?
Looks like everything I'd expect/hope for from an FF:CC game - would've been nice if it were longer, but "definitely over ten hours" doesn't sound so bad, especially if - as said - there's replay value. Probably won't be a release-day game for me, but then the last one that was was FFIX! XD;;
wii's million copy baby ...
I highly doubt anyone at Gamespot other than whoever left remembers there are four races in the Crystal Chonicles series... XD
10 hrs? definitely knocks it down a few levels to me & i will wait till its in budget bin before buying. there went the 1 game on wii that i was SURE would be day 1 purchase :(.
