A compelling and heartfelt storyline, reminiscent of FFX, with great gameplay to match.

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time DS
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: echoes of Time for the DS starts out as you, the main character, beginning your coming-of-age ceremony in your forest village. When you reach the end, a mysterious girl named Sherlotta gives you a little gift: your very own crystal. All seems peaceful until one of your villagers, Eryll, catches the crystal sickness, a sickness caused by close contact with a crystal for a continuing period of time. You find out later that you got the crystal sickness when you were little and that Sherlotta got the medicine for you. Your first trip out of your forest is to get the medicine for Eryll. A mysterious old man named Larkecius gives you the medicine but in return, you set up these ruined towers for him. You soon find out that everything isn't as it appears in your peaceful village, and that Larkecius isn't quite a feeble old man. As you make your was throughout your world, you unlock the mysteries surrounding Sherlotta, the villagers, Larkecius, and your own role in this heartfelt and compelling adventure. You realize how much you mean to Sherlotta and the villagers, and what you must to to save the past, present, and future times. FFCC: Echoes of Time for the DS is truly a great Final Fantasy game, and definetely one to pick up if you were a fan of FFX, or the FF series in general. I give this game a 9.5 out of 10 for a great storyline, fun gameplay, good replay value, and a great game overall. My only little problem was blurry graphics on the cutscenes.
