Final Fantasy Anniversary is an excellent tribute to the start of it all
It is true that some of the mechanics of the game do feel dated when compared with games such as Final Fantasy XII. It is, however, very interesting how far these games have come. The graphics are very well done, as is the sound.
The only complaint that I have is the 'save anywhere" feature which I feels lessens the difficulty level of the game. Also, the encounter rate can somewhat irritating.
All in all, this is a good psp game, especially if you played the original. If you have not played the original but are open minded to re-living the past with a classic game then I recommend it.
