One of those games people should not miss, to be honest.

I myself have played nearly all of the Mana Series' games, and this one stands out as one of the best, given the Gameboy's limited capability, and critics are right: it stands out from other Gameboy games, and for good reasons.

The first reason becomes clear to you upon the few minutes of play: the audio. The music of the game is so far from the primitive beeps and bleeps that many Gameboy games blared in their speakers; this point is driven home by the overworld theme, "Endless Battlefield", with its sophisticated and immersive sound. The music is so great as to be listened to again and again for hours on end, without it feeling grating or boring one single bit. The scenarios and the settings fit very well with the music, which is a big plus to any game.

The second and last significant reason comes in as you play the game: it's long. Very long. You can be into the game for five straight hours and you will come to the conclusion you have a long way to go, which is right! The game is long, well worth buying it to kill lots of time.

Now, many people can be easily dazzled by good graphics or effects, but this game doesn't need any of that; it's a masterpiece, no doubt about that, and it deserves the score I gave it. And yes, I highly recommend you buy it, quick.
