- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Grows on you"
Gameplay: This game is very fun and will keep you playing for long periods of time. once i started the legacy mod (story mode), I was hooked and couldn't stop playing until i was champion. In story mode, just like Fight Night Round 3, you have to train before your fights. You can either simulate them or do it on your own. These training challenges are so difficult and boring that I skipped them all, it is not even worth the hassle. Also, There is only a limited amount of boxers in the game, but you can download boxers people have created online such as Rocky Balboa or Obama which are also fun to play with.
Graphics: The graphics are obviously a big improvement over Fight Night Round 3. In fact, the graphics are great other than the sort of cartoon looking fighters. The new physics engine is also great. When boxers punch, you can see their muscles tighten up or when people are hit, you can see the skin kind of jiggle, adding tons of realism to the experience.
Controls: The controls are almost the same as Fight Night Round 3, with the control stick except a little less annoying and easier to pull of combo punches with. To keep the less intense gamers playing, you don't have to use the analog sticks for the punching, you can use the buttons instead.
Multiplayer: The multiplayer is fun while it lasts, although there are so many people out there that can ruin your online experience. Many people rely on exploits such as punching your stomach until you have no stamina or where they wait for you to punch and counter you every time. If you don't get someone who plays like that, then you will have a blast online.
Overall: If you are debating whether to get this game or not, you should definitely get it. Not only is it a really low price now, but it is also very fun. Try to add your game face too ;P
