Amazingly Realistic
There are various modes you can play which consist of Career Mode, Play Now mode, which lets you go right into the action, and ESPN Classic Mode which relive's matchups from the boxing history. You can also play online with a friend or challenge other people to a Ranked fight.
Career Mode is great as you can choose to create your own boxer or choose one of the legend boxers to fight with. You can change the apparel of your boxer from the shoes, to the mouthpiece and you can eventually unlock new apparel when you compete and win certain events.
The thing I am most impressed with this game is the graphics. They are unbelievably realistc! When you knock an opponent down the replay shows a close up of the punch which knocked the player down. You see the face crumple up, the ripples on the cheeks of the impact of the punch, sweat exploding from the face and siliva with blood pour out of the mouth. It is amazing. Also the effects of the boxers themselves. You can see the sweat glistening on their bodies as it reflects on the light.
Achievements are of no real challenge in this game. They are career related so you just have to play though Career Mode to unlock them.
The difficulty of this game is perfect. Easy mode is for new players who are new to boxing so the AI's don't react or perform as wel, Medium difficulty is a step up from Easy where the AI's pack a bit more punch and Hard is for the more experienced players and also players who are lookig for a challenge.
Overall, I think this a fantastic game from EA Sports. One of the best sport games they have developed and created. I would definately recommend this to Boxing fans and those who are looking for a game which looks "real".
