Does this game have the push button controls for punching versus just having to use the joysticks to punch? They really need to put that option back into the game.
The story mode (that i don't remember that's title!) is so interesting... but other modes of the game aren't so cute.
just downloaded the champions mode from ps store and i have to say Wooooow.. i own round 3 and 4 and played the sh*t out of them both but the story and controls in champion shows truly how a boxing game should be made!
...because this actually has a story mode and it seems intriguing this might just be the 1st boxing game that i have ever bought.
Tried the demo today and was blown away. This game is amazing. Bishop kinda looks like Cuddy from the wire lol
I want this game it looks absolutly amazing with its graphics, realisticness and brutality also a cool story mode
I really enjoyed round 4 and was the reason i picked this up, but i gotta say that this game simple takes the p***. the load times for absolutely anything you do are a f***in joke, for instance even selecting hair styles takes about 10 seconds to change each time. in story mode you are given the option to skip the cut scenes but the time its taken for the X button prompt to pop up from loading the cut scene has already played out, this is annoying. The last fight on story mode can only be beaten on amateur, anything else is near impossible, and i do mean unbeatably frustrating to the point of madness. The trophy collection and the messed around with controls just tops off this unbelievably shocking title for me, GET A GRIP EA, SO THATS GOLF AND BOXING YOU HAVE TOTALLY F***ED NOW.
This game just broke my heart.I had won the world championship belt, and got nothing for it.No achievement's, no belt, nothing...
@ frankfooter Yes it is free roam! You can move to any spot you want in the ring. Camp in the corner if you like. LMAO!
Looks good, but in the multiplayer mode will it be free roam so i can camp and ko people runnin by? Seriously i want to camp.
margarito cotto and clottey dont speak for flloyd and i dont know what gave you that impression to start with you probabley just wanna Shi talk flloyd and make pac man seem better but flloyd is younger he would obviously win you really should know something about boxing before you go typing BS out and making yourself look dumb
Looks cool. If MLB 2k11 sucks as bad as last year's game, Fight night Champion might be the next sports game on my list.

Completed Champion mode in 4 hours (its more of an awesome tutorial/story than a depth mode) but Im sure Legacy will keep me busy. The gameface is still awful though, they need to get lessons from their Fifa colleagues :).
Been a fan of the FN games since 3. Dunno how you all might feel about it, but I DO miss the obvious haymakers, and the "in-yer-(opponents)-face" flurry K.O. features. Either way, I'm playin the hell outta the demo. I find myself playing these games far past the finish line. @OurSin-360: I hear what yer saying, but don't let the realism make you forget the days of Little Mac, King Hippo, and the legendary NES Tyson Fight you could never win... :)
Game is great. Gameplay is greatly improved for the most part, defense needs some tweaks and body punching is unresponsive but overall it's the best yet. Haven't even touched online yet after i found out you can buy xp to build your fighters up, so there is really no fair competition in the championship mode. Champion mode is great until the cheap boss fight at the end, made it really feel like a video game instead of a real fight.
Put your two feet firmly on the ground and think again before saying all those crazy things, Pac-man can beat Mayweather anytime! that's why Floyd is scared to face him, if u don't believe me then ask Margarito, Cotto and Clottey

Dissappointed....Legacy mode to difficult dont think a gamer and boxing fan like myself should have to play on amateur to get a win. Online champion mode.....apparently all u have to do to win is throw 410 punches in 3 rounds as a heavyweight to always knock someone out. Really a heavyweight wouldve probable croked from throwin that many especially power shots. Great graphics and collision though
Biggest thing that put me off was the analogue control system which more often than not made me throw uppercuts rather than a hook punch. The change in the analogue button system is the biggest bonus by far. The legacy/story mode is also long overdue and looks fantastic
graphics look great and all, but thats the easy part, i ll just have to keep dreaming about a realistic boxing game i guess, with all the technology in animations and gameplay ideas around today, i suspect a much better boxing game could be made. Fight Night from the first one to this last one, still looks clumsy, unnatural and akward
