The training drills are a tad tedious and you don't really see what you get out of them. The skills accumulation process is a little hard to understand initially. Using the right stick is good however there are times when it is too easy to throw a combo when you just want to throw one punch (this is most obvious in the champion mode where you are meant to stick to using just your left or only head shots). I'd like to see it easier to move around the ring while being defensive - you are pretty much stuck to the ground if you use L1 for ducking etc.
I actually preferred the recovery mode in the predecessor as you had some control.
If there is one thing i think needs development to truly match a fighters journey it is a much more detailed training mode.
