A great start to the EA Sports boxing series

I thought i'd give this game a try and It turned out to be something much better than what I expected.

Fight Night 2004 mainly uses the right analouge stick in its controls. To jabs, hooks and uppercuts you must move the Right analouge stick in a direction that the boxer would moves his gloves. For example if you wanted to do a simple right handed jab you would move the right analouge stick up and to the right. For a left jab it would be up and to the left ect.. You also have your own personal trademark punch by pressing X and you can perform a taunt by pressing square. These controls may sound slightly complicated but beleive me they arent. Carear mode is where the meat of the game lies. Firstly choose a boxer. Then you must work your way up through the rankings from the bottom to the top.

The graphics are superb. The lighting effects on the boxers bodies are brilliant and some of the best i've seen in a long time. All the famous boxers like Lennox Louis, Roy Jones Jr. and more look scarily realistic. Another cool thing is when the boxers are beaten up and have bruises and cuts on their faces.

Sound wise, Fight Night 2004 serves up brilliantly just like the visuals. At the end of a round your trainer will talk to you about how you are getting on. This talking could give some advice and you should listen to it carefully. As in all EA Sports games Fight Night 2004 has proper music. This music is hip hop and rap and will be loved by people who like that kind of music. For people who dont like that music it will be bad for them.

Fight Night 2004 should keep you entertained for a while. Carear Mode is where most of the stuff is and should definently be played if you want to get your moneys worth. This game also has multiplayer so you can play with a friend aswell.

At the end of the day Fight Night is a great boxing game that will be loved by fans of boxing with its realistic graphics and original gameplay. This is a great start to the EA Sports boxing sereis.
