UNBELIEVABLE TEKKERS... for the first 30 minutes. After that it slowly flickers into a bitter disappointment.

First of all, I was so hyped about this game before it's release. I was watching game-play videos online and vice versa until, a day before official releasing, it arrived on my doorstep. I demolished the parcel with unforgiving force and there it was, the moment I had been waiting for. I clumsily sprawled up the stairs and placed the disc into my trusty old Xbox, set up everything and waited. There it was. I was going to play this game. I selected Tottenham vs Arsenal and I was thinking to myself "This is going to be so much better than that demo!"
What a shame it was exactly the same as that demo then, aye?
Saying that, I had fun playing with my beloved Spurs and managed to win 6-0 (something that will never occur in real life) After my first demolition I decided to start my world tour. It starts the same as the demo's version does, with the black and white teams having a little kick around in a park, who suddenly realise they are better than most people so decide to start a street football team. I'm going to carry on from this imagining you played the demo. If you haven't, after this you choose what your teams name is, kit colours, your crest and etcetera.
So I was in the map, and me, being the hard bastard that I am, decided I would choose the "Hard" difficulty as it looked the toughest there, and wanted a challenge straight away. So I won my first game 5-0... wait, what? 5-0?! I just won MY FIRST game on the hardest difficulty 5-0, and I've only been playing the game for 10 damn minutes? Wow. That's my first issue straight away right there. After half an hour of playing the skills I was demonstrating stopped becoming mind-blowing and swiftly became a dull chore. Imagine having a love affair with Katy Perry and gradually finding out she has the personality of Kristen Stewart. I admit the thing that drove me to this game was the skills that you could do, but my god I didn't expect it to be like this. I decided I was going to conquer Xbox LIVE now to see if I could gain some enthusiasm in my playing.
Now this is one EL GIGANTO issue in my opinion, the one that towers over all of the others. You CANNOT choose to be an official team online and you have to use your squad from the World Tour storyline. At this moment my heart sunk and I fell back into my chair in a slump of disappointment. So I have to be my **** team, who knows barely any skills instead of being my favourite team? This completely takes the fun out of the game for me personally. So as I was being ripped a new one by the Americans and the EA season ticket holders who managed to get there players top dog, I thought "well his is bitterly disappointing." Now onto the positives. I like the idea of the "Last Man Standing" game type, it enlightened me that they added something new to the game, and it was the first time I actually felt like I was having fun! Basically what happens is there are four players on each, and when a player scores, they leave the field and the first team to get rid of all their players wins! It's pretty sad that the only real enjoyable part of the game for me was what really should be a mini-game in a game that promised a whole deal, but never delivered for me.
All in all, in my conclusion, FIFA Street is a decent little game and is probably worth a punt if you like really casual gaming, and would be good in about 6 months time for about 15 quid, but if you feel like doing skills on a football game, stick to FIFA 12.
