The game starts off with a boy with psychic powers. He sets off on a journey to defeat an enemy. You will get 4 main characters during the game: Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo. The gameplay is like normal RPGs. You take turns to attack. If a character has high speed they will attack first. To encounter an enemy you have to first bump into it on the field. Some enemies will run away from you if you are strong. If you are strong you will automatically win battles with weaker enemies. The world is quite big and the story is very interesting and twists near the end of the game. You have to go to so many areas to obtain special powers then you will have to face Ness's ultimate enemy. His own nightmare. If you win Ness will gain many power-ups. Earthbound is a little strange, but very fun.
