A well designed sports game for the gba console

User Rating: 7.8 | FIFA Football 2004 GBA
The gba console is not blessed with a lot of sports games, maybe because of its lack of graphics in opposite to other consoles. When i first saw this title in stores i didnt know whether to take it although i am a sports gaming fan, cause of the low rating it had, but i took it and i enjoy it till this day. The game is a copy of the big consoles game and there is no special features in the gba version, the graphics are good, you can see the players clearly, and the game has a cool set of player animations. The one thing that could have been better is if they would put a little more focus on the weather conditions visuals, you can barely see the difference between them. The gameplay is straight forward and similar to the other FIFA console games. You have two saving slots, that is nice to save two different competitions in progress. The big con here is that there is no career mode and the cup tournaments are not played along the season. If you are in to that you can wait for FIFA 2005 that will have these features. The sound is a bit repetitive, but its nice to hear the crowd while in-game. For a while I have been looking for a gba sports game and this title fits good, if you are a sports gaming lover you should pick this on up, if not, i think you will prefer going for something else...
