people have hacked it to get infinate coins and its down while they find and ban the accounts so it might be a while

That's not true.
They have been having issues with players disappearing in the trade pile.

Actually TherionFanatic was right too. Hackers had found a glitch where they got unlimited coins, and were paying 15m coins for players just to mess with the market. EA I'm sure used the downtime to sort out both this problem and the trade pile issue.
