Here's what you need to know about FIFA 09. The major improvements you will notice from this version of FIFA is that it has unmatched presentation, game play and of course graphics compared to the previous FIFA games. The game play has been brought to another level with the extra tricks and special moves that players can now use. This is from anything by being able to flick the ball over a defender on the run or from being able to jump over your opponent while controlling the ball in the are with the ball virtually being tied to your shoe laces.
There is also more options and un-lockable features added the latest version but best of all the new Be A Pro option allows you pick a player or create your own and customize their abilities with the more experience your player gains. But the biggest downfall with BE A PRO is that it takes a hell of a long time to be able to get enough experience to be able to upgrade your players ability, especially with real players. But all in all its a welcome addition which gives the upcoming FIFA games something to work with.
One of the biggest downfalls with FIFA 09 is that the Manager mode is basically the same as the previous FIFA versions which is a huge let down since this is the main reason a lot of people by the game in the first place. There is also a hell of a lot of new features and additions that can be added on with the Manager mode and it's just a damn shame nothing has been done yet.
The soundtrack is not too bad but does lack good rock/metal music, especially from well none artists and uses more underground music or pop music.
One thing for sure is that you can't go wrong with the FIFA franchise, but overall you can't help but think there could have been a lot more done.
