Another soccer game in the EA Sports series, FIFA 2001 is a good game. For the gamers of the past series it's very easy, once you get used to the new gameplay. The graphics are good but not excellent, the players really look like the real ones except for a couple of unknown players who all have the same face in the game. The graphics are near greatness because of a simple glitch which happens when you really play a lot: if you play with the TV camera, you'll notice that the players aren't really precise, their faces are all the same etc. Another thing that EA Sports apparently forgot to improve was the stadiums where the fans look like cardboard pieces, and the bench on the sidelines are empty. Of course there are the major european leagues and the MLS and you can create your own championship and play with up to eight teams. You can also customize the faces of the players and the teams' uniforms but you can only customize a limited quantity of them which makes frustrating when you wanna change David Beckham's haircut for example but you're run out of chances. The multiplayer is okay when you play with a friend but if you're used to play alone and decide to play with four players, it gets a little bit annoying when you want your teammate to give you a pass while he just wants to dribble. Apart from that, the gameplay is pretty simple. After playing tons of hours like I did, you'll see that there's a way to always score on a corner, you can pass a whole defense with one player by dribbling with great timing and all kinds of other things in your favor. If you're a soccer fan, you should pick up this game, it's really worth it.

Fifa 2001, was even worse than 2000, it had nothing that excited me, the graphics were good, but it never saved it. The game was boring from the start, the only mode that kept me going was season and that was fun to play... Read Full Review
