No single player competition with the AI very disappointing

While most of the reviews glorify the multiplayer aspects of this game the single player game is horrible and disappointing. The AI is so stupid you can beat it on its highest difficulty easily. Also the graphics are ancient (pun intended) and look like something off of a commodore 64 machine. The bases are hollow and don't match the terrain like a real minature game base would. It's an eyesore for sure.

If you're into solo play and competitive AI then you want to stay far away from this one. It looks like they just attached some ai program at the end of it just to say it is a single player game. One of the worst I've seen in a long time.

If you want a good single player ancient wargame experience then I suggest the HPS titles of Punic Wars and Gallic Wars and the new Alexander. At least the ai is challenging and not nearly as predictable as FoG's ai.

Some older titles even better would be the Great Battles series of Caesar, Alexander and Hannibal.

Spartan & Troy some other Slitherine releases are much much better than FoG as well.
