Here's a short list of the ten Reader Choices we couldn't pass up.
Villain: Sinistar
Game: Sinistar
"It's gotta be Sinistar! It was the first to really get you pissed at something. Most of the other games before that, were really inanimate, or just sorta faceless enemies but none really taunted you back, like stud-thing Sinistar."

"He only spoke seven distinct phrases, but they stick with you. They are plenty of gamers out there who would break out in a sweat at hearing "Beware, I live." I can say he was the only video game villain that ever truly creeped me out. Why? Because most game villains sit in their nice air-conditioned castle, biding their time until you came for a showdown. But not Sinistar. No, he would build himself up. And when the moment was right he would hunt you down and beat you down."

Villain: Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde
Game: Pac-Man
"I think the villains from which a certain yellow hero fled deserve mention. That's right, Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde also deserve credit as great villains. How could anyone forget the tension of scrambling around eating dots while being chased by not one, but four villains. They team up against you, try to cut you off, follow you through the warp tunnels on the sides, and generally do everything in their power to stop Pac-Man. Later, Clyde was replaced by Sue when the ghosts chased after Pac-Man's significant other, Ms. Pac-Man, but the original four ghosts - Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde - will never be forgotten."

Game: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out
"Well he's not a monster or a fictional character, but Tyson surely is a villain, both in real life and in the classic NES game."

Villain: The Umbrella Corporation
Game: Resident Evil series
"Tyrant, Nemesis, countless zombies and other horrific creatures. Sure they're evil and scary, but they are also all products of the dreaded T-Virus, and the Umbrella Corporation created the T-Virus. They used Raccoon City to test its effects on millions of innocent people and then after turning a once-thriving city into a tomb, they nuked it off the map. They have no remorse, no regrets, all in pursuit of the almighty dollar. There is evil, and then there is Umbrella, the personification of evil."

"Ironically it's not the Tyrants or G-types that most impress me, it's the Umbrella Corporation itself. These guys are twisted. After all, if it weren't for UMB Inc. there wouldn't be any of the zombies or other monsters that we have come to know and love.
