First seen in the defeated Mad Gear Gang from Final Fight, Sodom has been trying to reunite his former cohorts and bring the organization together again. Sodom has a particular score to settle with Guy, the fighter who defeated him in Final Fight, and looks forward to his destruction. He has since given up his katanas in favor of sais, finding them more to his liking. This American is consumed with revenge on Guy, so he enters the Street Fighter tournament not only to reassemble the Mad Gear Gang, but to crush his former adversary. Sodom also hopes to recruit Rolento's growing army into the Mad Gear Gang once more, by beating him in the tournament. With the might of Rolento on his side, Sodom believes he can lead the Mad Gear Gang to power once more. Sodom desperately wants to be Japanese, and has studied various Japanese customs and cultures in an attempt to fit into Japanese society. He is routinely mocked by the Japanese for too aggressively seeking to be like them. When he loses yet again to the illustrious Guy, he heads into the sumo wrestling ring in Japan, and is promptly defeated by E. Honda. It seems Sodom will never attain glory, even though he is skilled in many rushing attacks, and has a few powerful slams to crush his opponents with.
