If ever there was a forgotten fighter, it's Retsu, the "other" Shotokan fighter. While only competing in the first Street Fighter tournament, Retsu's main job has always remained that of Ken and Ryu's sparring partner. Retsu has no knowledge of any advanced "special" techniques, but he is very strong. Bald and dressed in a traditional Japanese martial arts outfit, Retsu goes easy on Ryu or Ken as they begin their quest to conquer Street Fighters in Japan and then the world. Defeating him is merely a matter of learning simple attacks, which any veteran World Warrior should know. His whereabouts are unknown at this time, but it's rumored that he may be searching for his lost master Gouken.
