A. Go to Chinatown. Look for a save on the street. Talk to Maeda. Go into the sewer maze. Explore.
B. OPTIONAL: Return to the police station after exploring to drop off items.
C. Go to the sewer control room WITHOUT going DOWN any ladders. Save.
D. Backtrack to go down the ladder to fight two crocodiles.
E. Return to the sewer control room. Solve the control puzzle. Cross the empty sewer canal to the subway.

Here's the important items waiting for you in Chinatown:

A set of random items are in the alcove on the right. Medical supplies are on the left side of the alley, under the square white sign.

Random offensive items are on the left, just past the red sign in the cardboard boxes. A few steps farther, near the corner of the building, you'll find an M79-2 gun. The save point is on the right side of the alley a little farther down, just to the right of the arched display window.

An M1911A2 is in the large open pot on the near far left; a tool is hiding between the pots on the near right, just below the jade lion.

The sewer entrance is in the center of the street, down the manhole. Before you go, be sure to nab the ammo at the end of the street, near the left pillar.
