Map 6 House of Chthon Surviving the House of Chthon is easier than it might look at first. Start by grabbing the rune key, but don't bother shooting Chthon - you can't hurt him that way. Run down either to the left or right passageway around the lava until you reach a box of megahealth. Grab it and step onto the lift. Step off and go left up the short flight of steps (keep moving or one of Chthon's fireballs will hit you). Run down either side of the catwalk, making sure to step on a floor button halfway down. Run all the way down, then loop around the corners, and hightail it down the other catwalk en route to the lift platform. Make sure to run over the floor button on this side also. Descend the steps and stamp on the floor button just in front of the lift, giving old Chthon a shocking surprise. Repeat this series of actions twice more, and Chthon will sink back into the lava. Once he's down, edge to the lip of the platform and peer down into the lava. You should see a new walkway. Drop down and go through the exit with the red mark. Fall down the shaft and exit through the end-of-episode slipgate. Episode 2: Realm of Black Magic
