How would you feel if you'd seen dozens of ads for a movie, but when you went to the theater on the day those ads said it would be released you discovered the flick wouldn't be out until Labor Day? Or what if you read a glowing review of a new CD by your favorite band, but were told by the guy at the CD store that it hadn't been released - and that in fact it would never be released?

You'd probably be pig-biting mad, and no one could blame you. But scenarios like those are repeated on a regular basis in the world of PC games. It's a phenomenon called Vaporware, and unless you've only been gaming for a few months you've probably already encountered it.
