GameSpot's Preview of Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption

Clan Warfare
The Kindred are loosely organized into two main, constantly warring sects. The first sect, the Camarilla, consists of seven of the vampiric clans and seeks to maintain the Masquerade and live among humans. The second sect, the Sabbat, consists of two of the vampiric clans and has more malevolent aims and views humans solely as prey. In addition to these sects, there are four independent clans and a variety of more secretive organizations, including doomsday cults dedicated to bringing about Gehenna at the end of the 20th century (because of production delays, Redemption has become a "period piece"). Here's a description of each of the vampiric clans:

Brujah clan members surround Christof
Assamite - Members of this deadly independent clan act as murderous mercenaries. They particularly enjoy preying on other vampires.

Brujah - The clan that embraces Christof, the Brujah of the medieval ages, are warrior philosophers dedicated to re-creating what they view to be the perfect society that was established in ancient Carthage, where vampires and humans lived together openly and peacefully. By the 20th century, however, the Brujah clan has lost its way and become a loose band of individualistic rebels. They are members of the Camarilla.

Cappadocians - An independent clan possessing skills with necromancy, this clan experiences a radical transformation during the course of Redemption.

Followers of Set - Known as the Setites, this treacherous independent clan is disliked by all of the other clans. They believe the ancient Egyptian god, Set, is their Antediluvian founder.

Gangrel - Fierce, animalistic warriors, the Gangrel are one of the few clans that prefer the wilderness. These members of the Camarilla are shapeshifters.

A Nosferatu
Lasombra - The leaders of the Sabbat, this sophisticated clan thoroughly enjoys preying upon, and manipulating, human society.

Malkavian - Incurably insane, members of this clan suffer from varying forms of dementia. In spite of their affliction, these Camarilla members often possess sharp intellects.

Nosferatu - Like the vampire in the 1922 classic film, all of the members of this Camarilla sect are deformed monsters. They frequently reside in sewers or other subterranean lairs.

Ravnos - An independent clan of mischievous, nomadic tricksters.

Tzimisce - This Sabbat clan is prominently featured in Redemption and is notable for its creation of fearsome, disfigured beasts.

Toreador - This clan, a Camarilla member, is devoted to art and is more likely to consort with humans than other clans are.

Tremere - These valuable Camarilla members have mastered sorcery, an ability they acquired under mysterious circumstances during the Dark Ages.

Ventrue - The Ventrue are the classic, noble vampires common in literature and movies. This clan is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Masquerade.
