Lara has a set of pistols holstered to her hips (at all times) that need no refill in ammo. Throughout her adventure, Lara will find a variety of weapons to help her survive each level. The weapons are accompanied by limited packs of ammunition. Once you run out of ammunition, you must find some more before you can use the weapon again. Thankfully, the weapon itself stays with you for the remainder of the game.

Pistols
The pistols are Lara's trusty companions. You'll always have ammo for these guns, though their firepower is somewhat limited.

Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle is one of the best weapons in the game. It's very powerful, often taking your enemies out in a single shot.

Shotgun
The shotgun is very powerful, often destroying enemies in a single shot. However, it is a little slow at reloading. It is also not very effective for long-distance shots.

Uzi
The Uzi is a fast-firing weapon, but it uses ammo very quickly. It's not as effective as other weapons, either, but it does the job.

MP5
The MP5 is a sniper weapon that is quite effective in eliminating enemies from great distances. Use it to clear dangerous paths before entering an area.

Rocket Launcher
The rocket launcher is one of the most devastating weapons in the game. A single shot will scatter the flesh of your enemies. Use it sparingly, however. It's best kept for subduing groups of enemies or the game's few bosses.

Grenade Launcher
The grenade launcher fires tidy packages of instant death at your enemies. A great weapon for dispersing a crowd or wounding a boss. Use its ammo sparingly.

Harpoon Gun
The harpoon gun is used only under water to take out piranhas, alligators, and swimming humanoids.
