@cjburnfist...Skyrim has 100's of hrs gameplay in vanilla form, and will have 100's more once modded. We haven't even seen the best mods yet. Also ME2 combat sux, I suspect the same of this. What I've said is the truth of God.

Make combat more intense, give your followers their own horses, and fling throwing knives every which way in this week's best Skyrim mods.

If you've been playing the PC version of Skyrim, chances are you've at least taken a quick peek at all the terrific mods available on Steam Workshop and Skyrim Nexus. But sifting through all the latest mods can be a tough job. Well, have no fear. GameSpot is back with another video to showcase our favorite user-generated content from the past week (or so). And just because we love you, we've even thrown in a few more exploding chickens.

Shaun McInnis has always dreamed of an a open-world driving RPG based on Jack Kerouac's On the Road. Outside of video games, he enjoys photography and learning impractical coffee brewing techniques.

I can't create mods haha but I thought of a few, thought I'd comment here in case someone who can wants to give em a try: -horses able to come into cities (i think this might have been done) -a pack mule that can carry more items and follow you around, preferably invincible too haha (kind of like in the original dungeon siege)
how much is betsheda paying gamespot for these weekly videos?? just give it a rest jeez
Skyrim is a nice game but i like the varied environments of Elder Scrolls Oblivion better.
@AkhilAnilkumar Oblivion had varied environments? I thought it all looked the same.
I suck at creating mods, so I'm not sure of the possibilities for this game. But if it is possible, someone please make a levitation spell like there was in Morrowind! I want to walk over mountains like a god.
The PC gaming market will be back on the rise. Especially when developers start moving to a more "online only" store for the PC market to try to curb piracy.
@Gladiator_Sofi I only play on PC, I don't have any current gen console, I'm just (positively) surprised about the sudden change in direction.
@N30F3N1X Is it that bad for the PC to get some attention?! The PS3 and XBOX 360 get so much coverage and there are many great games that aren't released for the PC and are just for consoles. So what if GS gives some coverage to the PC? It's still a gaming platform, isn't it?
@pktoon I agree that things can get a little repetitive, but unfortunately things often get repetitive in RPG Games. It's very hard for developers to come up with a new idea for every side quest in the game.
In Skyrim one thing i hate is its SIDE QUESTS...(also unbalanced buggy COMBAT) Every time when you go to some person he will tell that"My son is vanished,i need you to find him" or "my Ring, sword,Razor is missing and last time i saw it in ********* dungeon" or person will say "I need ****** ingredients to make ****** potion, these ingredients are very unique ,you can find it in ******* dungeon".......in 75% of side quest you have to go in the dungeons and kill same type of enemies (dragger) and clean whole dungeon than at the last you will find Ring, sword, missing son or husband or ingredients...in 12% of side quest person will tell you "one Dragon is killing people at ***** place..or due to *****(for example:spider) we can't work at ******(for example:mine)....I have to kill That particular thing to set the people free from its territory..and to complete side quest... in 82% of side quests there is NO VARIETY..!!!
I find it interesting that GS is giving this much coverage to the PC all of sudden. It wasn't like that until a couple months ago. The only PC related news were either new DRM schemes or late ports, the only article worth mentioning in the past years was related to Starcraft 2's preview. Now they even talk about SC2's competitive scene and game mods. Why the sudden change of heart?
It's funny to see how everything that gets popular ends up being hated. Ohh, Skyrim is so 2011, I'm just bored to play it. Mass Effect 3 is the fashion now. Jesus Christ, there's just no hope for humanity.
@jimmytaker That happened to me once...i lost her and had to reload and lost a lot of content :( took my a long time to do it all again, but not only didn't i want to lose her, but she was also carrying a lot of useful and expensive items and i had lost her body. Edit: oh and the other day i almost lost all of my progress whilst moving my saves across to another console, i would have cried if i lost it.
@JunkTrap Great idea! @vtoshkatur I am not familiar with that mod, but since you said that it is an INI, I doubt it should be on this list as it is hardly a proper mod in-game, but rather a change of configuration in the game's properties using Skyrim.ini . I might be wrong though.
You suck at picking mods Gamespot. Really? These 5 on the week that Superl3's INI is released?
I wonder if the knives are as buggy as arrows where you can sometimes not get the ones you shoot at people back when you search their bodies lol.
@sandman201 for realz. its the best marriage ever. i need to bring it into the real world now somehow.
I will keep waiting for a mod that actually makes the game fun and adds some balance and challenge to the combat although the story is beyond salvageable. Too bad there is still no word on when Andoran: Prologue could be released.
still nothing to make this game appealing to go back to it. kill the same 5 monsters throughout 437676726742 lifeless dungeons with 0 challenge, easy-killed dragon priests requiring 0 mechanic. no-challenge dragons. WORST loot/gear ever seen in RPG games. when are modders gonna stop playing with f'ng chicken and actually mod the game to make it enjoyable and WORTH playing? but thanks for showing us,great vid.
Attack Of The Exploding Chickens.!! Loved that mod... Keep featuring it in all future videos.
@devastation913 There will not be any dlc for Dark Souls they said it was a full game at launch and didn't plan on doing any dlc.
Wow, you guys actually listened and agree to include Nexus links! AWESOME! So you guys did listen to our pleas! Thanks, dudes! There are also mods only found on the Nexus, as seen here. I'm going to check 'em out soon enough. HOLY CRAP! I just talked about the mods in Oblivion connecting you to other regions of Tamriel in the previous Mods of The Week episodes, and there it is! Sweeeeet!
@SeptuagintXXX Amen to that, brother! But for that blessed idea to happen, we need a PC port.
@CarlosRodela You can marry Aela? Oh man now I need to start a new game that would be awesome I would love that two warewolves getting married under the full moon. lol
Horses? For Followers? You mean the equestrian vehicles might actually be of some use at last? Sweet. Was only a HUGE flaw in the vanilla game that should have been spotted before release (although i know they were rushed to finish it, bloody dead lines!).
