"How can you snub the mastery of Nobuo Uematsu? From the fast-paced guitar riffs of the boss battles, to the ticking clock sound behind "hurry up" sequences, to the chillingly evil chorus accompanying Sephiroth, this music is art at its finest. I have a fully orchestrated MP3 of the final battle, and I dare say it may be the coolest piece of music I have ever heard. This doesn't even cover the earlier days of Final Fantasy, when the series was on the Nintendo. Final Fantasy VI (III in the US) has movie-quality music, even though it was being played by the internal synthesizer of a platform system."
"While it wasn't the best music in the Final Fantasy Series, Nobuo Uematsu, my favorite composer, certainly deserves some recognition for his awe-inspiring soundtrack in Final Fantasy VII."
"Most involving and emotional music ever in a game... some of it made me cry. I still listen to it too!"
"The score played during the final battle with Sephiroth was just truly amazing. It far surpasses many of the game scores you mention here and set the mood for the final battle perfectly."
"If you've played the game, or spent $60 on the soundtrack, you'd know what I mean...."
"Not only was the game one of the best, but the soundtrack is second to none. I don't know why you didn't put it on there, but I think you should get your act together."
"The millions of people that bought this soundtrack can't be wrong."
"Grrr... How could you not add the Final Fantasy series for one of the best game soundtracks? It is inconceivable for me why you didn't put it on the list. Every single Final Fantasy soundtrack moved me in a wide range of emotions. One song that stood out for me was Celes' song in FFIII. When the guy she was with (it's been awhile, give me a break) died, and the music came in as she mourned, I'm not bashful to say I nearly cried. The FF soundtracks aren't all powerful and moving pieces, though. I couldn't help but laugh at the wacky Chocobo song of FFVII. Any game soundtrack that really affects the listener like the FF soundtracks do should be enough to make it one of the best game soundtracks."
"This game, along with the rest of the Final Fantasy series, has a great soundtrack that varies from extremely emotional songs to very catchy techno tunes."
"This game's soundtrack was by far one of the greats. It may have been midi, but it still was of the best quality, from the pounding percussion in 'One Winged Angel' to the beautiful and touching 'Aeris's Theme.' Either not putting FFVII's soundtrack in your top ten was a serious oversight, or a case of poor taste. I don't know much, but I do know that this masterpiece from Square Soft should have received its due."
